No. Car Binder is local-first — you can create your first vehicle and start adding records immediately without any sign-up or account. Your data stays on your device.
You can add any of the following record types:
Each record can include a date, odometer reading, cost, vendor, notes, attachments, and a next-due reminder date or mileage.
The free tier includes 1 vehicle and up to 10 records with CSV export and photo/file attachments. To unlock unlimited vehicles, unlimited records, PDF export, and ZIP backup, use the one-time lifetime unlock.
Open a vehicle, tap Add Record, then tap the attachment area to take a photo with your camera or pick an existing image or document from your files. The attachment is saved locally on your device.
All attachments are stored in the app's local document directory on your device. They are not uploaded to any server. If you delete a record, its attachments are also deleted.
Yes. When adding or editing a record, set a Next Due Date or Next Due Mileage. Car Binder will schedule a local notification when the date or mileage approaches. Notification permission is required — you can manage this in your device's Settings.
From the vehicle detail screen, tap Export Packet to generate a CSV, PDF service packet (Pro), or ZIP backup (Pro). You can share the output using your device's standard share sheet — save it to Files, email it, or send it to any app.
The PDF includes your vehicle information, a timeline of all records with dates, costs, mileage, vendors, and notes, plus a cost summary. It is designed to be a readable, credible service packet for buyers, mechanics, or personal archives.
Use Settings → Export All Data to create a ZIP backup that includes all records and attachments. To restore, use Settings → Import Backup ZIP and select your ZIP file. Importing replaces all current local data with the backup.
Yes. Export a ZIP backup from your old phone, transfer the file (via AirDrop, Files, email, etc.), and import it on your new phone using Settings → Import Backup ZIP.
Car Binder Pro ($14.99, one-time) unlocks: unlimited vehicles, unlimited records, PDF service packet export, and ZIP backup/import. It is a single non-recurring payment — not a subscription.
Go to Settings → Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account that made the original purchase. Restore will reconnect your Pro entitlement without any additional charge.
Try Settings → Restore Purchases first. If that doesn't work, make sure you have a working internet connection, then restart the app and try again. If the issue continues, contact us using the form below and include your order number from the App Store or Google Play.
Go to Settings → Delete All Data. This permanently removes all vehicle records, attachments, and exported files from your device. This action cannot be undone — export a ZIP backup first if you want to keep a copy.
No. Your vehicle records, receipts, and attachments are stored locally on your device only. The only external service Car Binder connects to is RevenueCat for purchase verification. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
